My Real Experience Using LeadRocks
I’ve been using LeadRocks for more than 3 months now for cold outreach and lead generation workflows, and overall I would say it’s a decent tool for finding leads at scale.
Over this time, I exported more than 100,000 leads from the platform and tested them in actual outreach campaigns.
One thing I liked about LeadRocks is that it gives you a pretty large list of leads quickly. For example, if I search for something like Creative Directors and then add filters like United States and company size above 51 employees, I can instantly get thousands of leads.
In one of my searches, I was getting around 5,600+ leads with direct emails, work emails, LinkedIn profiles, and sometimes phone numbers as well.
The LinkedIn data is actually useful because even if the email doesn’t work, you still have another way to reach out to the person.
My Workflow
My workflow was pretty simple.
I usually:
- Search and filter leads
- Export the CSV
- Verify emails using my own internal verification tool
- Send outreach campaigns afterward
I personally never send cold emails directly without verification because bounce rate matters a lot.
The Biggest Issue I Found
The main issue I experienced with LeadRocks was email accuracy.
From my experience, around 60–70% of emails may not actually exist or may bounce if you directly use them without verification.
But at the same time, the remaining 40–50% of leads are actually useful and good enough for outreach campaigns.
So I would definitely recommend using an email verification tool before sending any cold outreach.
LeadRocks also has its own email verifier, but in my experience:
- verification was sometimes slow,
- updates took hours,
- and sometimes I didn’t even receive proper verification updates.
I also tried using their API, but honestly it didn’t work properly for me.
Is It Worth It?
I would say yes — especially for bulk lead generation workflows.
It’s not the perfect lead database tool, and I wouldn’t call it the most accurate platform available, but considering the pricing and the amount of leads you can export, I think it’s worth the money if you already have a proper verification workflow in place.
If your workflow already includes:
- email verification,
- list cleaning,
- bounce protection,
- and outreach automation,
then LeadRocks can still be a useful tool for finding leads at scale.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I had a decent experience using LeadRocks.
Not perfect, not terrible – but definitely useful for outreach workflows if used correctly.
The biggest thing is:
don’t blindly trust the emails without verification.
If you verify the leads properly before outreach, the platform can still provide a lot of value for the price.
